When ordering, choose your custom options, and then in the Notes section explain the following: what theme do you want incorporated (phoenix, mermaids, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, dragons, etc.)?  Then, provide up to 2 colors you'd like incorporated in the design.  Lastly, if you requested any upgrade options such as leather or a latch, specify what you wanted.  It is also helpful if you explain some of the designs I've done in the past that you have liked or would like yours to be similar to.  If you have any questions, feel free to message me any time.  Thanks so much for visiting my shop!
